Collection: Butters & Oils
Nature's Richest Emollients. Unrefined. Uncompromised.
Butters and carrier oils are the foundation of every great natural skincare formulation. They deliver fatty acids, fat-soluble vitamins, and plant sterols directly to the skin — nourishing at a cellular level in ways that synthetic moisturizers simply cannot replicate. At Herb Dr, we source our butters and oils in their most intact form: cold-pressed, unrefined, and minimally processed to preserve the full spectrum of skin-beneficial compounds.
Our Butters
- Shea Butter: Rich in oleic and stearic acids with natural triterpenes for anti-inflammatory and wound-healing support. The gold standard of natural skin moisturization.
- Mango Butter: High in stearic and oleic acids with a silky, non-greasy finish. Exceptional for dry, mature, or sun-damaged skin.
- Cocoa Butter: Dense, protective, and deeply moisturizing. A classic for stretch marks, scars, and intensive skin repair.
Our Carrier Oils
- Golden Jojoba Oil: A liquid wax ester that mimics skin's natural sebum. Antibacterial, antioxidant, and shelf-stable.
- Rosehip Seed Oil: Rich in vitamin C, retinoids, and essential fatty acids for skin regeneration and anti-aging.
- Fractionated Coconut Oil: Lightweight, odorless, and non-greasy. The ideal carrier for essential oil blending and massage.
- Arnica Infused Oil: Traditional botanical infusion for muscle pain, bruising, and inflammation relief.
Formulation Guidance
- Use butters at 5–30% in body butters, balms, and creams
- Carrier oils can be used at 100% or blended for custom skin profiles
- Add Vitamin E (D-Alpha Tocopherol) at 0.5–1% to extend shelf life of any oil-based formulation
