Peppermint essential oil is steam-distilled from the aerial parts of Mentha piperita, a perennial hybrid mint sourced from India. With 30–35% L-menthol and 23–30% menthone, this oil delivers a strong, fresh, penetrating aroma with a distinctly herbaceous character — less candy-like than commercial peppermint extracts. Menthol is one of the most extensively studied natural compounds for its analgesic, cooling, antimicrobial, and digestive-supportive properties.

Dilution & Safety

Always dilute before topical application. Recommended dilution: 1–2% for facial use, 2–3% for body application. Do not apply to the face of infants or young children — menthol can cause respiratory distress. May cause skin sensitization at high concentrations. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a dark glass container away from heat and light.
