Helichrysum essential oil — also known as Immortelle or Everlasting — is steam-distilled from the flowering tops of Helichrysum italicum, sourced from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its name derives from the Greek helios (sun) and chrysos (gold), reflecting the plant’s distinctive golden flowers that retain their color long after drying. Helichrysum has been used since ancient Greece and is among the most prized oils in natural skincare for its regenerative properties.
